"Nothing is more common than an unsuccessful man with talent."

Stole this from Andrea's blog and i thought that quote is very interesting and true all the way. There are too many people on this Earth who are blessed with things as well as worked their way to being in a specific place in their lives who are more fortunate than the average person, yet, what do they do with it? Absolutely nothing ! I really do not understand the logic in it. It is a waste of talent, time, and makes the people who may not have certain talents look horrible although they are the same people who work and shed blood sweat and tears just to get by.

Here's a link to Andrea's blog. Show her some love !

DMX updates fans from prison

Earl Simmons, better known to some as DMX, is serving time in prison on a variety of charges. While going through this sentence, Simmons has faced some challenging times. He has reportedly made threats to prison guards [click to read] and now he has been accused of attacking a corrections officer. Recently, X released a letter to fans, opening up about the incident, allegations and more on his status in prison.

To those claiming he is receiving special treatment for his fame, he notes that any statements about "special treatment" is untrue.

"Since I have begun to serve out my sentence, I have not been given any special treatment but it has actually been the opposite," he said through a letter to fans, published by TMZ.

He goes on to clarify matters on his part.

"For the record, I want to state ''I Did Not' physically touch or hit an officer. This is just another attempt to destroy my credibility."

To finish the letter, DMX thanks everyone on his corner.

"I’d like to thank my family, love ones, and fans for their support. I ask that you continue to pray for me during this trying time."

DMX is still serving 90 days in prison. No official word has been given as to whether or not this sentence will be elongated due to these allegations and/or incidents.

Obama at the Wizards/Bulls game

i mean i know he just got elected and all and that our economy is bad which im sure he HAS to figuring out he can TRY to do. i am also sure he has been really pressured with all the things brought up as being president, so i think its kinda cool he took a mini break (unlike Bush who disappears for months to play golf during terrorist attacks) to enjoy his hometown nba team play. Looks like he even left the wife and kids home, Obama is that dude.

Alone?

iono what it is, but lately, just feeling quite lonely. just feeling like the people who i believed and thought would be there for me, just aren't and starting to believe that they never were in the first place. it kinda sucks but you know what, fuck em, ill be iight. now lemme end this little depressive rant with something that will cheer us all up.

U should feel bad, but this is hilarious

Camron And Jim Jones finally speak

'It was cordial,' Cam says of recent phone call with Jim Jones.

Cam'ron is working with New York radio station Hot 97 to plan a concert for May to coincide with the release of his Crime Pays LP; he also hopes to return to the Hot 97 Summer Jam in June, according to MTV. But the question is, will the Diplomats be with him at any point during these performances?

"You never know," Cam answered yesterday in New York. "You never could say never. Right now, I'm kinda like in Cam zone. They been doing what they been doing for the past two or three years, but I'm kinda in Cam zone. But you never could say what could happen in the future. Right now I'm kinda in the Cam mind frame."

The former Diplomat seems to have softened on the subject of his old crew. In fact, after years of not communicating, Cam says that he and Jim Jones just had a short chat.

"Hell Rell and J.R. Writer, they always check in," Cam said. "Everybody has been reaching out. I've been the one kinda saying Cam is going to take time do Cam. But Hell Rell and J.R. definitely been reaching out. I called [Freekey Zekey's] phone four or five days ago and Jim picked up Zeke's phone. Me and him spoke for about 10 or 15 minutes, but me and Zeek speak all the time. I haven't spoken to Juelz."

Cam described the phone call with Jones as pleasant.

"It was cordial. He knew it was me," Cam said of Jones. "He said we was gonna holla — maybe we'll put something together. But in the immediate future, I'm just doing Cam. But you never know what can happen down the line. I called Zeke's phone and I guess Zeke gave Jim the phone to pick up. We just talked, asked about each other's family. He said he's on a promo tour. He'd be back soon. That was that."

Another Diplomat looking forward to speaking to Cam is Juelz Santana, after Cam recently told the press that the two stopped speaking because Juelz became addicted to syrup. Santana adamantly denies ever having an addiction.

"I'm not going back and forth with him [in the media]," Cam insisted. "I wasn't lying. I was asked a question and I answered it. I'm sorry if he's upset."

Samuel Jackson Signs on to Iron Man Sequel

After a public salary dispute, actor Samuel L. Jackson has signed a deal with Marvel Entertainment to play Nick Fury in the upcoming Iron Man sequel.

The pact also sets up Jackson to play the leader of international crime-fighting group Shield in nearly a dozen Marvel movies, Variety reported:

His deal contains an option to play the character in nine future Marvel superhero films, efforts that are expected to include Captain America, Thor, The Avengers and The Shield as well as potential sequels.

Jackson appeared in a cameo during the closing moments of director Jon Favreau's Iron Man movie last year, playing the Fury character that was modeled after him in recent Marvel comic books. In the scene (embedded above), Fury talks to Tony Stark (played by Robert Downey Jr.) about the Avenger initiative, setting the stage for cross-pollination of future movies based in the Marvel universe.

Dodgers gonna offer you a 1 year deal for $25mil and then a 2 year deal for $45mil and you STILL dont accept, do you really think any other team is gonna pay you what you THINK your worth? the contracts aren't always gonna be so good, you need to just accept the best possible offer given and be happy with it. I swear, these baseball players gets paid way too much for doing nothing.
